About the Bihar Har Ghar Bijli Yojana 2021
The Bihar Har Ghar Bijli Yojana, as the name suggests, is a new scheme under the 7 Nischay Yojana launched by the state government. Through the implementation of the scheme, the state government will ensure new electricity connections to poorer households in the state, and people can now apply for these connections through the official BSPHCL E-corner online portal.
How to apply online for a New Electricity connection under Bihar Har Ghar Bijli Yojana?
- The applicant who wishes to apply for a new connection has to visit the official BSPHCL portal at http://hargharbijli.bsphcl.co.in/
- On the homepage, click on the “Consumer Suvidha activities”
- On the page that opens, click on the “नए विधुत सम्बन्ध हेतु आवेदन करें” link so that one can open the name of DISCOMs as either south Bihar power DISCOM or North Bihar Power DISCOM
- On the next page, enter the mobile number, select the district name and click on “Generate OTP”
- Then, the electricity connection online application form will appear as shown here
- The applicant is expected to fill in all the details of the application form, fill it and submit it.

- Then, on the opened page, click on the “अपने नए विधुत सम्बंधित आवेदन की स्थिति जानें” link to open the Har Ghar Bijli Yojana application status as shown here
- Here, applicants can enter request number and click on “View status” button to track the application status
