What does the scheme offer?

The scheme aims to provide services such as 20×20 meter ponds constructed and the department will provide a 90 percent grant to farmers on pond construction. The department implementing this scheme would be the Department of Agriculture which works at the grassroot level with districts and rural areas where facilities are hard to come by.

The scheme provides Rs 75,000 subsidy to any farmer who plans to construct a pond in one acre of land. If the land is available to the farmer, then she or he can build a pond. If they do not, then two to four farmers can get together to construct a pond on one acre of land.
