The State Government of Uttar Pradesh has launched a Scholarship program for all students in the state which has been implemented from the year 2020. This scholarship seeks to support the students to pursue education through a scholarship amount and fee reimbursement. This entire facility has been online through the govt portal for easy accessibility of information as well as smooth operation of the process of application to allotment of the fund. Moreover, the District Welfare Department has a major role to play in the process along with other stakeholders.
Features
The educational scholarship is available to all strata of society. This includes students from the SC/ST/OBC category, General Category, and the Minority Community. This scholarship covers students from Pre-Matric to Post-Matric education.
A student applying for the scholarship should have permanent residence in UP or should be at least a domicile. The scholarship includes a fund for not only day scholars but also hostel dwellers.
The Govt portal https://scholarship.up.nic.in/ is equipped with features necessary for the scholarship process. It starts from Registration of the student, Form Submission, Verification of Institution, Scrutiny, Verification from the District Welfare Committee, and finally ends at fund allotment.
The scholarship fund depends on the course of study that a student has enrolled in.
