Ayushman Bharat Yojana – Ayushman Bharat Scheme

Healthcare is an essential aspect of national wellbeing. For a population as big as ours, implementing sound healthcare practices with utmost accuracy often becomes a challenge. In the wake of this understanding, the government of India initiated the Ayushman Bharat Yojana or the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana.

What is the Ayushman Bharat Yojana?

The Yojana essentially aims to provide quality healthcare at the most reasonable prices across the nation. It is primarily aimed at those who are economically vulnerable and are desperately in need of more refined healthcare facilities.

The underlying idea behind the yojana also happens to make modes of payment as cashless as possible. The idea here is to make secondary and tertiary healthcare access completely cashless. How can that be achieved? The PM Jan Arogya Yojana beneficiaries would get an e-card that can be used to use services at certain select hospitals – both public and private – whichever might be in the closest proximity and convenience range of your residence.
