Crisis brings out the best of human efforts and this pandemic is no different. Diffusing the human spirit to do what it wants to do is something no adversity has managed. With the whole lockdown situation, academics definitely have taken a hit as schools are no longer being conducted physically.

Desperate times call for desperate measures; not uncalculated ones. Hence, the Madhya Pradesh government has put forth its A-game by introducing the Hamara Ghar Hamara Vidyalaya scheme.

Under this scheme, children were asked to plant trees, design study-corners in their houses, and listening to nostalgic stories from their grandparents.

Objectives of the Hamara Ghar Hamara Vidyalaya scheme

Students suddenly find themselves to be in a pit of boredom without the thrills of meeting their friends in school and regaling in extra-curricular activities. To help students manage time more productively, the MP government introduced this scheme.

The programme essentially focuses on students of class 1-8 so that they can stick to a proper schedule that is academic in nature so that they never miss out on studies.

What does the programme entail?

The programme basically schedules interesting activities for students throughout the day so that they get to learn and use their time more productively. According to the programme, the scheme requires students to dedicate their mornings to reading and understanding chapters with the help of tools like radio and television. They also have leisure activities lined up for them in the evening to loosen up their bodies and be athletically involved.

They are also required to practice Hindi and English writing every day.

Parting thoughts

Through this scheme, the MP government aims to ensure a more productive time for students who are stuck in the confines of their houses due to the lockdown.
