Growing up, we have all, at one point or another, looked for career guidance. There are endless options available these days and fixating where your inclinations lie can be hard to determine. Some help in that direction can be really helpful. For the same reason, the Government of Haryana has a scheme planned – the Haryana Umeed Career portal.

The scheme is launched by the School education department of Haryana to all 10th and 12th graders so as to seek career guidance through the official website.

Through this scheme, both teachers and students can now register online at the guidance portal and the online portal offers guidance to both – teachers and students.

More about the Haryana Umeed Career Portal

The Umeed portal for students of class 10th and 12th has been started by the School education board in Haryana. For ease of implementation, the state government has set up UMEED centers in various districts for providing counselling and guidance services. The main aim of this is to offer overall holistic development and physiological well-being to all students in the state.

The scheme will offer a platform for students to seek guidance on several career colleges and relevant scholarships.

How to register for the Umeed career guidance portal?

If you are a student in Haryana and are confused about what’s lying ahead for you, here is how you can go forth finding clarity for yourself.

There is something in store for everyone

Teachers and students both get to benefit from the scheme. The training of teachers will begin on the online mode from mid-November onwards. The training time is given from 9 am to 1 pm.

Interested teachers can visit the link http://bit.ly/umeedcareerportaltraining. Training for students has been fixed to be on the 19th of November 2020. Students of class 10 and 12 will be able to participate in it. Students have been allotted the time slot 11 am to 1 pm.

In summary

Quite often, students tend to get confused with the number of options in front of them, and this can lead to mental distress as well. With so many options, students feel anxious about misstepping their way into their careers. With Umeed counselling, the fear is sucked right out of the career decision step.

The counselling session helps students make more informed choices so that they will not be worried about whichever decision they end up making.

Through this scheme, the Haryana government is looking to empower young children in following their dreams in the right and informed manner.
