Applying for fair ownership of what is one’s property is essentially a fundamental right. But with a lack of quality clerical assistance in several parts of the country, the maintenance of documentation and records becomes a tedious affair. To bring order to the haphazard shape of affairs in Uttar Pradesh, the Uttar Pradesh government has launched the Integrated Grievance Redressal System of Uttar Pradesh or IGRSUP which would serve as a portal for Marriage and Property registration in Uttar Pradesh.
This Marriage and Property Registration portal will cover important aspects of citizen’s lives like marriage registration, certified copies of deeds, etc.
Procedure to apply online for the UP Property Registration
If you are a resident of Uttar Pradesh and are looking to avail of any of the services offered by the UP Marriage and Property Registration department, then here is how you can go about registering on the website.
- For registering for property in Uttar Pradesh, visit the official website of IGRSUP – Registration and Stamp department.
- On the homepage of the website, there will be an option stating “Apply online” under the “Property Registration” section.
- If the applicant wishes to register on the website and has never done so before, the applicant would have to start a new entry or “Log in” to the account if the applicant has a user ID and password already created.
- The applicant would have to select the district, tehsil, and the registrar.
- The applicant would have to give the mobile number and create a password.
- The applicant would have to enter the Captcha code and click on the “Go ahead” option.
- Once the login process is complete, the applicant will receive a property registration form on the screen.
- The applicant has to select the nature of the document.
- The applicant has to enter the deed presenter’s name and mobile number.
- Post this the applicant would have to offer property details for stamp duty calculations and valuations.
There will then be stamp duty calculations after which the applicant would have to upload documents (like ID proofs, PAN, etc) and after adding the mandatory documents, the user has to proceed to add details of other parties involved in the transaction and details of two witnesses.
The final step will be a verification by the SRO – Sub-registrar office where the office will verify all the details provided and on verifying the information provided, the SRO will update details online in the online land records website.
Eligibility
For marriage:
In order to apply for a marriage certificate on IGRSUP:
- The applicant should be a permanent resident of Uttar Pradesh.
- The husband and the wife’s Aadhaar card.
For Property:
In order to apply for a property certificate on the IGRSUP:
- The applicant should be a permanent resident of Uttar Pradesh.
- Identity card of the beneficiary who sold and purchased the property.
