Schooling is one of the most essential aspects of any state or any nation for that matter. Without sound education, it is really difficult for the nation to get a quality workforce. Education really opens up the avenues for individuals to spread their wings and reach for what they feel is theirs to attain.

To impart quality education to people, it is essential to have quality infrastructure which would enable the accomplishment of said goals. Without sound infrastructure, neither students nor teachers will find themselves in the right mind space to grasp classroom education.

In order to enable the imparting of sound education, the Government of Andhra Pradesh has started a new initiative – The AP Mana Badi Nadu Nedu scheme 2021. This scheme is being implemented in phase and Phase 1 of the scheme stands to be completed successfully.

Phase 1 of the Mana Badi Nadu Nedu scheme

According to the Nadu Nedu scheme, officials will tour all of Andhra Pradesh and take photographs of schools and amenities, and will place them in front of the public. The Andhra government will then work on these schools with an intention to develop them to meet the standard of current academic rigour in accordance with the master plan of the school and then, when the project stands completed, compare the old pictures of the school with the new ones.

The fascinating aspect of the implementation of the scheme is that the locals have a say in how the master plan would be altered and what new needs to be added and old needs to be taken off the plan so that the students have a meaningful learning environment for themselves.

Features of the Mana Badi Nadu Nedu scheme

According to the Phase 2 plans, here are some of the innovative features of the scheme:

  1. 9,478 primary, 822 upper primary, 2,771 high schools including even residential schools, 473 junior colleges, 1668 hostels, 17 DIET colleges, 672 MRCS centres and 446 Bhavita centres will be revamped by the scheme.
  2. There will be totally revamped anganwadis making them all the more appealing for toddlers.
  3. Nadu-Nedu’s work towards anganwadis will begin in March 2021.
  4. 6407 anganwadis will be constructed and 4171 existing anganwadis will be renovated in the first phase.
  5. The entire project is expected to cost ₹5,000 crores.

What are some of the facilities added by the Nadu-Nedu scheme?

The Andhra Government has launched AP Mana Badi Nadu Nedu scheme and will work towards basic infrastructure works rounding 9 major components:

  1. Toilets with running water
  2. Electrification of the infrastructure with fans and tube lights

Summing it up

With these facilities being introduced in schools, schools immediately become a whole lot more welcoming to students and teachers alike. True temples of Knowledge.
