Over the months, the importance of healthcare has skyrocketed as all it took was a virus to bring the world to its knees. Several governments, over these months, have taken massive steps towards improving healthcare. One such attempt at improving healthcare in Tamil Nadu happens to be the Tamil Nadu Amma Mini Clinic Scheme 2021.

About the scheme

Under the implementation of the Tamil Nadu Amma Mini Clinic Scheme 2021, there would be around 2,000 mini-clinics that would be set up in the state to strengthen health infrastructure. The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister launched the scheme in December 2020 to empower healthcare in the South Indian state.

The main aim of the scheme is to bring about operational hospitals in areas that have a population of fewer than 30,000 people. This is to target those rural areas which function with healthcare deficits and hence end up being disastrous for the people living in such remote areas.

What would be the timing of the Tamil Nadu Amma Mini Clinics?

The timings within which the clinic will remain functional are as follows:

  1. 8 am to 12 noon
  2. 4 pm to 8 pm
